Objective To explore the short tandem repeat(STR) loci polymorphism in Yunnan Bulang nationality to provide basic data for population study,forensic cases and parentage testing.Methods The genetic distributions of 15 STR loci were investigated with the use of co-amplification,genescan and genotype in blood samples obtained from 97 unrelated Bulang nationality.Results 118 STR alleles and 229 genotype were obtained in 15 loci,with the allele frequencies ranging from 0.005 2~0.556 7,heterozygosity(H) 0.556 7～0.876 3;discrimination power(DP) 0.745 9～0.956 5,cumulative discrimination power(CDP)0.999 999 999 999 999%,probability of exclusion(PE) 0.354 7～0.841 7,cumulative probability of exclusion(CPE) 0.999 999 966%;polymorphism information content(PIC) 0.502 8～0.852 5.Conclusions The 15 STR loci used in this study is highly polymorphic in Bulang population and can be applied to population study and forensic practice.
