This theorem is conjectured in [3] and can be easily derived from the work of Weselmann [S] or [11. However our point of view here is that the formula (1) for D (a, c) corresponds to the well-known identity concerning the classical Dedekind sum (cf. Rademacher-Grosswald[2, p. 1 S])
