DiscussionDespite obvious limitations, particularly the small sample size of the patients not on DA, these data show a clear and notable pattern of results; DA-treated patients showed significant withdrawal symptoms with profound sleep loss and persisting very high rates of PLMS. The non-DA treated patients showed no similar patterns, but this may be an artifact of the small sample size.
