The IR and Raman powder spectra for the CsHSO4 in the function of temperature are measured. It is found that the measurements by the KBr pellet method and for the emulsion in Nujol using the KBr windows (in the presence of moisture) give the spectra of the KHSO4. The spectra for the phases III, II and I are reported. Existence of phase IV is not supported by the vibrational data. Additionally, the reflection polarised spectra for the bc sample of CsHSO4 single crystal in phase III are measured and discussed. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
