Penile cancer is a rare malignancy of the male genitalia composed primarily of squamous cell carcinoma. High-risk primary tumors often metastasize to regional lymph nodes which require aggressive management to prevent the certain morbidity and mortality associated with this disease. Chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy are used in various stages of treatment, often in combination with surgical resection of measurable disease with curative intent. Patients with distant metastases have very poor survival, and systemic therapy in this setting is palliative.
