A TE01–TE11mode converter with a specific geometric structure is proposed for Gyroklystron. The geometry configuration of the converter is obtained to realize the optimal mode conversion by a code based on the mode coupling theory. Comparisons with a traditional one show that the specific converter holds shorter length, wider bandwidth than the traditional one. Experiments show the specific converter exhibits good.
