华南中部地质构造十分复杂，地质学家对其进行了许多不同的划分。在综合地质资料的基础上，认为其可划分为3个等级的Ⅰ构造单元，即扬子块体、华夏块体和两个块体之间的中元古代造山带。中元古代造山带可划分为乐平歙县混合岩亚带、万年构造单元、赣东北蛇绿岩混合岩亚带、怀玉构造单元和东乡龙游混合岩亚带Ⅱ5级构造单元。
The geological structure is very complex with a lot of different divisions by geologists in the centre of South China. On the basis of synthetic study on geological data, we suggest that it may be divided into three grade Ⅰ tectonic units, i.e Yangtse bolck, Cathaysian bolck and Middle Proterozoic orogenic belt between the two blocks. The Middle Proterozoic orogenic belt may be divided into five grade Ⅱ tectonic units: LepingShexian tectonic melange subbelt, Wannian tectonic unit, Northeast Jiangxi ophiolite melange subbelt, Huaiyu tectonic unit and DongxiangLongyou melange subbelt.
