Luminous patterns of firefly were experimentally investigated to evaluate the healing effect by using an appropriate statistical analysis and image processing. This study is for fabricating a hospice space by which people can be healed from many kinds of stress due to various modern human activities. It is revealed from a series of measurements that a 1/fn fluctuation mode is included in the luminous pattern of firefly and that there is a possibility that the luminescence plays a significant role in healing people. Therefore, we have always been feeling that the luminescence is so attractive from ancient times.
