A 17-year-old youth was referred complaining of missing mandibular incisors and mobile canine teeth. He was extremely short (99 cm), with shortening of both trunk and limbs. A radiological skeletal survey showed abnormal and unusual findings, and his teeth were found to have short, conical roots and obliterated pulp chambers. Despite extensive biochemical and endocrinological investigation, it was concluded that the findings were not consistent with any recognized skeletal dysplasia nor with any recognized syndrome affecting the oral and dental tissues.
