In a study involving 222 cats of different ages, good correlation existed between neutralizing antibody levels and resistance to oral dosing with virulent panleucopenia virus. From these serological findings it was considered that the optimal time for vaccination in order to avoid interference from maternal antibodies is between the seventh and ninth week of age.
