Two new clerodane furano-diterpenes, 9-methoxycarbonyl-15, 16-epoxy-cleroda-3, 13(16), 14-trien-2-one (cromiargyne - 1a) and 7a-acetoxy-9-methoxycarbonyl-15, 16-epoxy-cleroda-3, 13(16), 14-trien-2-one (7-acetoxy-cromiargyne - 1b), were isolated from the bark of Crofon hemiargyreus (Euphorbiaceae). The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectral analysis.
