Eighteen psychodramatists comment on the contributions of Jacob Levy Moreno to psychodrama and how its multifarious methods and themes have developed since Moreno's death in 1974. The twelve chapters are separated into three parts, encounter as the principle of change, the locus and status nascendi of psychodrama, and the matrix of psychodrama, with each author or set of authors taking a key concept of Moreno and describing how it has inspired their clinical work. Included are a discussion of the moral philosophy and ethics of psychodrama by his son, discussions of relationships and roles, religion and spirit, role reversal, spontaneity and creativity, and more. A brief biography is also included. This is an interesting look at the intellectual legacy of a complex man and is useful for anyone interested in the history and current development of psychodrama.
