In the course of an investigation of the soybean anthracnose (Tiffany, 28), the establishment of the identity of the causal fungus with the Colletotrichum from lima bean (Colletotrichum truncatum (Schw.) Andrus & Moore) led to the collection of the species of C olletotrichum on that and other leguminous hosts for study of their relationships. Comparisons were made of the members of this collection with reference to their host ranges, cultural characters and spore morphology. The results of this study are reported here.
