膜菜属（A. DC.）A. DC及其模式种都是首次从中国报道。最近，在对昆明植物研究所植物标本室紫荆属标本的命名过程中，作者之一遇到了一些明显错误的标本。经过仔细的检查，我们发现它们实际上是喜马拉雅物种- hymenandra wallichii。它是中国植物界的新物种。
The genus Hymenandra (A. DC.) A. DC and its type species H. wallichii A. DC. are for the first time reported from China. Recently in the course of naming the specimens of Ardisia in the herbarium of Kunming Institute of Botany (KUN), one of the authors came across some specimens that were evidently misidentified. After a close examination we found that they are actually the Himalayan species-Hymenandra wallichii. It is new to the flora of China.
