Tables are presented giving average over-all measurements, mean dimensions, standard deviations, and range in size of the centra and vertebral foramina of 100 young adult male white individuals, of an equal number of young adult male Negroes, of 27 young adult white women, and of 57 young adult Negro women. Double foramina in the transverse processes were found to be very frequent in the 6th vertebra and less frequent in the others. The female white and Negro vertebrae are obviously smaller, but there is no evidence of racial differences and the relative sizes are not significantly different from the male.
