Primary glomerulonephritis (GN) with mesangial deposits of IgA, first described in 1968 by Berger and Hinglais (4), is defined by diffuse and prevalent presence of IgA in the mesangium of all the glomeruli. This type of GN is very common representing 22% of our cases of GN in adults.
