Various modifications are proposed in a structure proposed about 1 year ago. The new structure, a projection of which is illustrated, is able to account for the importance of hydroxyproline in this protein and the periodicity of 640 A along the fiber axis, as well as other properties which were already accounted for by the previous proposal.
