目前我国化学除草存在的主要问题是：喷洒设备不合格，除草剂药害频繁发生，除草剂残留时间长，杂草种群转移快，难防品种药害增加了化学除草的难度。沿着加强除草剂使用技术的研究和信息的传播，需要改进农药和施用机械的管理。对长残留除草剂要科学使用，加强管理。农药施用设备需要进行开发、制造、管理和使用研究（并传播研究结果）。水果、蔬菜和特色作物需要研究化学除草技术。新的除草剂产品用途必须适合中国，显示出良好的作物安全性，并促进化学除草剂在中国的发展。
Current problems in chemical weed control in China include substandard spraying equipment, the frequent occurrence of herbicide-induced crop injury, crop damage due to long residual herbicides, rapid weed population shifts, and the increased difficulty of chemical weed control brought about by crop damage from hard-to-control species. Management of pesticides and application machinery will require improvement along with the strengthening of research on herbicide use technology and dissemination of information. Scientific use and better management of long residual herbicides is required. Development, manufacturing, management, and utilization research (with dissemination of findings) is needed for pesticide application equipment. Research on chemical weed control technology is needed for fruits, vegetables, and specialty crops. New herbicide product uses must be suitable for China, show good margins of crop safety, and promote the development of chemical weed control in the country.
