Curriculum design. All academic departments have to do it, and there must be some semblance of success since there are many, good academic programs. Likewise for design. Engineers have been doing, teaching, and researching design for a long time. From this came the idea to apply the design tool of multi-objective programming to evaluate various curriculum alternatives.An engineering curriculum must satisfy university, college, accreditation, and course sequence requirements. Within these constraints, a curriculum needs to be designed to best satisfy various educational objectives, primarily focused on ensuring that the graduate possess the knowledge and skills that they require to in the industrial sector, where many graduates are employed.
