This article discusses the effect of environmental contamination in Bottlenose Dolphin. Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) occurs in all cold temperate to tropical seas worldwide. It appears to be common in the Mediterranean Sea. In the adult female high concentrations of mercury were found in liver followed by kidney, brain, intestine, heart, uterus, lung and placenta. In the calf and neonate too, the highest mercury levels were observed in liver. Slightly higher levels in the neonate than in the calf were detected in addition to liver, also in lung, brain, and heart.
