(2) In this work we shall use the restricted primitive model, in which the ions are modeled as rigid spheres of the same diameter with a point charge at their centers and the solvent is treated as a continuum with a uniform dielectric constant e. Most of the previous literature regarding this topic has treated only the case of point ions.
