NEURYSMS of traumatic origin constitute a very small percentage of all intracranial aneurysms. Our experience with a head-injured child, in whom an aneurysm was subsequently found, stimulated an appraisal of the incidence of true aneurysms with a traumatic origin. Recent reports of such aneurysms have included traumatic arteriovenous fistulae, 1,a false aneurysms, 1'2'5-9'12'~4-16 and aneurysms of the meningeal vessels. 1~ Only a very few could be considered "true" aneurysms of traumatic origin. ~,4,6,13
