世界上猕猴桃有66种。中国有62种，大部分分布在西南和南部地区。它们主要分布在中国的山区。从猕猴桃的起源、栽培历史和综合利用价值、种类和分布、品种资源和特异资源、种质保存、花粉形态、染色体倍性、同工酶分析和DNA分子标记等方面综述了猕猴桃作为经济栽培果树的研究进展。并对我国猕猴桃种质资源的研究前景进行了展望，以期对猕猴桃种质资源的可持续利用和品种改良有所帮助。
There are 66 species of kiwifruit in the world. 62 species of them are in China and most locate in southwestern and south districts. They are mainly distributed in the mountain areas of China. The kiwifruit used as economic cultivating fruit trees were reviewed in respect of the origins, history of culture and integrated utilizable value, species and distribution, cultivar resources and specific resources, germplasm conservation, pollen morphology, chromosome ploidy, isozyme analysis, and molecular marker of DNA. The research prospects of chinese kiwifruit germplasm are also discussed, that would be useful to the sustainable utilization and cultivar improvement of kiwifruit germplasms.
