We systematically investigate the magnetic and magnetocaloric (MCE) of Pr0.5Sr0.5-xNaxMnO3manganites. The Curie temperature (TC) and magnetic entropy change (-ΔSM) and relative cooling power (RCP) of the samples increase gradually with the Na content for 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2. A large -ΔSMof -2.20 J kg-1K-1atTCunder the magnetic field change of 15 kOe is found for x = 0.2, and the samples undergo second-order phase transition proved by the phenomenological universal curves. The Landau theory is used to analyze the origin of the -ΔSM, indicating the magnetoelastic couplings and electron interactions are account for the MCE. The large -ΔSMinduced by the low magnetic field, suggests these materials can be used for the practical applications.
