Adaptation to stroboscopic motion affects the perceived temporal order of 2 adjacent stimuli presented along the same axis. The extent of shift was independent of the duration of adapation and under the conditions studied was 3-6 ms in a direction consistent with a cancellation of the motion aftereffect. There was no effect upon the locus of simultaneity when adapting stroboscopic motion was orthogonal to that of the test stimulus.
