Promising technology based programs for health promotion have not been adapted for use with diverse communities, including Latinos. We designed a community based health kiosk program for English and Spanish speaking Latinos, who received personalized feedback on nutrition, physical activity, and smoking behaviors with computerized role models who guided them to establish goals related to nutrition, physical activity or smoking. We found significant improvements in nutrition and physical activity among 245 Latino program users, with no changes in smoking behaviors.
