We show that if for every primep, the normalizer of a Sylowp-subgroup of a finite groupGadmits ap-solvable supplement, thenGis solvable. This generalizes a solvability criterion of Hall which asserts that a finite groupGis solvable if and only ifGhas a Hallp′-subgroup for every primep.
