Ityis a gene which regulates the magnitude ofSalmonella typhimuriumgrowth in murine tissues and, hence, the innate salmonella resistance of mice. The results of a five-point backcross clearly showed that the correct gene order on chromosome 1 isfz-Idh-1-Ity-ln-Pep-3.
