Abstract (en) Discusses the state entry of Felipe II into Antwerp in 1549, using the report by Cornelius Graphaeus (Scribonius), who also planned the entry, with the woodcuts by Pieter Coecke van Aelst (1550), as the major source. Argues that the entry should be seen as a site for negotiating the terms of the relationship between city and ruler.
