Examined the effects of cholecystokinin (CCK) on dopamine (DA) mediated behaviors in the nucleus accumbens of male Sprague-Dawley rats. Saline, sulfated CCK octapeptide, or unsulfated CCK octapeptide was injected bilaterally into the nucleus accumbens either in conjunction with DA (20 μg) or 15 min after apomorphine (0.2 mg/kg). Sulfated CCK (2 ng) significantly increased the locomotor response to DA and the stereotypy response to apomorphine, as compared to DA or apomorphine alone.(35 ref)(PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
