A simple, efficient, and general method has been developed for the synthesis of various N-aryl heterocylic substituted-4-aminoquinazo line compounds from 4-chloroquinazoline and aryl heterocyclic amines under microwave irradiation using 2-propanol as solvent. The advantages of the use of microwave irradiation in relation to the classical method were demonstrated.
