For earlier work see Abst. 4630, Vol. 33.Titanium was present in human organs, especially in lung where values tended to increase with age to over 500 p.p.m. in ash. The occurrence in other organs was generally less than 40%. Highest values in food were condiments 0.3 to 15.8, butter 2.5, lettuce 1.8 to 2.4, pork 1.8 and maize oil margarine 1.8. Milk, cheese, eggs, beef, lamb and some cereals had little or none. An institutional diet for one day had 105 µg. Values are given for leaves, other vegetation, water and animal tissues.-A.
