ResultsFig. 2 shows the change in mechanical properties of the ARBed aluminum. The tensile strength increased with increasing number of cycles or strain. Surprisingly it reached 300MPa after 6 cycles. This is 3.7 times greater than that of the starting material (80MPa). The tensile strength did not change after 6 cycles and showed a constant value. On the other hand, the elongation fairly decreased from 50% to 8% by 1 cycle of ARB. It kept, however, the constant value of about several percents even when the strain further increased.
