本文批判性地回顾了语言作为一个新兴概念在外语教学中的应用。首先介绍语言学的理论基础，然后分析语言相关研究的不同维度及其发现，并简要描述研究局限性和未来方向。最后提出了语言对于我国外语教学的重要启示。
This article critically reviews the application of languaging as a newly-emerging concept in foreign language teaching. It first introduces the theoretical basis for languaging,and then analyzes the different dimensions of languaging-related research and their findings followed by a brief description of research limitations and future directions. Finally,it presents important implications of languaging for foreign language teaching in China.
