Digital CE development has been fueled by furiously rapid advances in semiconductor technology. In video systems centered around television (TV), digital image processing technology underpins all of content creation, storage, transmission, and display. Today, these systems have been able to achieve high performance economically because of the realization of leading edge semiconductor technology.
