While the gut environment has been found to significantly influence various immunological diseases such as multiple sclerosis, immune cell mechanisms are poorly understood. Here, I summarized our original article previously published in Nature Communications, describing the unique regulatory T cells that may be important for the gut environment to control CNS autoimmunity.
