This award supports travel by this investigator to a conference on river basin management at which he plans to present a paper on his experiences in water resources management in developed regions, concentrating on technical aspects and including scientific research and engineering considerations. He also plans to visit regional water and wastewater treatment plants in Brazil and to participate in the biennial conference of the International Association on Water Pollution Research and Control which will be held in Rio de Janiero from August 18-20, 1986.
