Presidential Young Investigator Award: An Empirical and Theoretical Analysis of Macroeconomic Issues

This award provides support to Dr. N. Gregory Mankiw under the National Science Foundations's Presidential Young Investigator Awards program. The objectives of this program are to provide research support to the Nation's most outstanding and promising young science and engineering faculty. In addition, he will also explore the interaction between macroeconomics and industrial organization, and the role of imperfect competition in explaining both price rigidity and the impact of fiscal policy on aggregate expenditures.
