International Astronomical Union Symposium No. 134 on "Active Galactic Nuclei"

The Lick Observatory of the University of California, Santa Cruz will host the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Symposium No. 134 on "Active Galactic Nuclei" from August 15 to August 19, 1988. The Symposium will take place on the Santa Cruz campus of the University of California and will involve approximately 200 participants from institutions all over the world. The Symposium will provide an opportunity to bring together Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) research workers from all over the world to exchange ideas and results on this very important topic. active Galactic Nuclei are quasars, Seyfert galaxies, and other extragalactic objects with highly energetic nuclei. Support will be provided for travel and living expenses of some of the participants. IAU and the University of California, Santa Cruz are also providing financial support.
