The purpose of this conference is to promote interaction between university and industrial researchers, to focus the attention of power system researcher on computer relaying as an emerging technology and, to provide a forum for discussing new research directions. The conference is international in its flavor with both European and Japanese. The first time this conference was held (October, 1987) it was an exceptional success.
