This is an award to provide support for the applicant's travel to the Environmental Engineering conference jointly sponsored by the American and Canadian Societies of Civil Engineers that will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia from July 13-15, 1988. He will present a paper on potential uses for irradiation in the water and wastewater industry based on his experiences since 1977 in interpreting the results of research on applications of ionizing radiation into engineering design of facilities for treatment of water and wastewater.
