The equipment funded by this award permits undergraduate students to carry on programming assignments, large scale projects and undergraduate research in the areas of parallel architechures, distributed operating systems, fault tolerant systems and their applications in various areas. The equipment that supports this project includes ten Motorola processor boards and a host computer to house them, the UNIX operating system, ethernet controller, and a collection of software for the environment. This award is being matched by an equal sum from the grantee.
