Field Experiments for Wind Pressures

德克萨斯理工大学在开阔平坦的地形上建造了一座试验性的低层建筑和一座气象塔。测试建筑可以在轨道上自动旋转，并配备了完整的仪器，以收集由于该地区相当普遍的强风而产生的结构外部和内部压力。风的特征是在160英尺高的塔楼上进行测量，数据以数字形式记录。目前的项目是完成建筑物和塔楼内仪器的校准，并开始获取、分析和传播现场风和建筑物表面压力数据。

A test, low-rise building and a meteorological tower have been built on open, flat terrain at Texas Tech University. The test building can be rotated automatically on a tract and is fully instrumented to gather structural external and internal pressures due to high winds which are quite prevalent in the area. Winds are characterized by measurements taken at the 160 ft tall tower and data is recorded in digital form. The present project is to finalize the calibration of the instrumentation in the building and the tower, and to start acquiring, analyzing and disseminating field wind and building surface pressure data.
