This is award will provide funds for partial support of travel expenses for scientists from the Unite State to attend the 21st International Cosmic Ray Conference at Adelaide, Australia; January 6-19, 1990, sponsored by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. The entire field of cosmic ray studies will be covered during the conference. This includes topics from Particle Astrophysics; Elementary Particles; High Energy Astrophysics; Geomagnetic and Solar Phenomena. Examples are particle acceleration and gamma ray astronomy; charged particles in the heliosphere and origin of galactic cosmic rays; air shower technique; deep underground muon measurements and composition of primary cosmic rays.
