National Urban Science Education Corsortium Workshop

本次会议由教育发展中心主办，新成立的全国城市科学教育联盟也参与其中。会议的目标是：提高参与者在制定和实施基础科学系统变革的地区计划方面的知识和技能，提高参与者对促进基础科学系统变革的资助机会的理解，并为城市科学教育者之间的教师教育倡议提供持续网络的机会。该会议将协助学区制定有效的资助提案和系统性变革计划。参与者将得到一个由来自城市学区的代表组成的小组的协助，这些代表在这种变革项目中有丰富的经验，以及在员工发展、基础科学课程、评估和材料管理方面的专家。

This conference sponsored by the Education Development Center involves the newly-formed, National Urban Science Education Consortium. The Goals of the conference are to: increase participants knowledge and skill in developing and implementing district plans for systemic change in elementary science, increase participants' understanding of funding opportunities for facilitating systemic change in elementary science, and provide opportunities for continued networking about teacher education initiatives among the urban science educators. The conference will assist school districts to develop effective funding proposals and plan for systemic change. Participants will be assisted by a panel of representatives from urban school districts who have had a great deal of experience in such change programs as well as by experts in staff development,elementary science curriculum, assessment, and materials management.
