Research Experience for Undergraduates Sites - Experiments in High Speed, Chemically Reacting Flows

佛罗里达大学航空航天工程、力学和工程科学系燃烧/流体动力学实验室设立了本科生研究经验项目。已经确定了8个项目，其复杂程度适合本科生，持续时间为10周。所有这些单独的项目构成了高速化学反应流领域正在进行的研究计划的组成部分。参加该计划的本科生将有机会使用实验室的各种设施和仪器以及其他支持设施。他们将不断地相互交流，并与参与同一研究项目的研究生交流。他们将由目前正在协调这项研究的三名教员提供建议。本科生将主要从位于马亚圭斯的波多黎各大学（University of Puerto Rico）和佛罗里达农工大学（Florida a&m）招收，这两所大学都是少数族裔院校。

A Research Experiences for Undergraduates program is established at the Combustion/Fluid Dynamics laboratory in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanics and Engineering Science at the University of Florida. Eight projects, at a level of complexity appropriate for undergraduate students and for a duration of ten weeks, have been identified. All these individual projects constitute components of an ongoing research program in the area of high speed, chemically reacting flows. The undergraduates participating in this program will have access to the extensive facilities and instrumentation available in the laboratory and to other support facilities. They will continuously interact with each other and with the graduate students involved in the same research program. They will be advised by three faculty members who are currently coordinating this research. The undergraduate students will be recruited primarily from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez and Florida A&M, both minority institutions.
