We propose to carry out a climate reconstruction of the last glacial between ca. 16,000 and ca. 55,000 years BP based on microfossil analysis from sediment samples of the deep drilling project PASADO in Laguna Potrok Aike, southern Argentina. It would be the first continuous climate reconstruction of glacial times in southern Patagonia reaching beyond the Last Glacial Maximum that deals with the detection and characterization of interstadials. This is possible because the corecatcher samples could be analyzed faster as the quantity of corecatcher samples was lower than expected.
