Linda Hall SUNY at Buffalo The doctoral dissertation research proposal seeks to examine the relationship among collaboration, innovation and business performance in dedicated biotechnology firms (DBFs) in high technology agglomerations in the U.S. Main research questions include: what is the relationship between collaboration and innovation in DBFs? ; How does collaboration affect the performance of DBFs?; how does the relationship among collaboration, innovation and performance vary across the U.S.? A large postal survey and a series of personal interviews with key decision-makers will be used to answer these questions. The research will provide new information on collaborative networks and their success in a critical sector of U.S. industry.
