Interactions of Phaeobacter inhibens DSM 17395 and metaproteomics of Roseobacter-dominated bacterial communities (C01)

本项目将研究i) P. inhibens与共养竞争对手的相互作用。生理实验将主要利用过程控制生物反应器进行，获取定量数据，确定生长效率；ii)太平洋游船样本的元蛋白质组学分析。研究重点将是赤道与极地锋区浮游细菌的昼夜动态，对远洋和底栖原核生物群落的全面调查，以及在生物地理/化学框架中嵌入功能代谢组学。

This project will study i) interactions of P. inhibens with copiotrophic competitors. Physiological experiments will mainly be conducted using process-controlled bioreactors to acquire quantitative data for determination of growth efficiency; ii) metaproteomic analysis of samples from the cruises in the Pacific. Research foci will be on diurnal dynamics of the bacterioplankton at the equator vs. the Polar Front Region, a comprehensive survey of the pelagic and benthic prokaryotic communities, and on the embedment of functional metaOMICS in biogeographic/-chemical frameworks.
