The American Association of Engineering Societies plans to host a two day conference to plan the next four to eight years of activities of the new standing Committee on Capacity Building of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations. This will be a strategic and detailed planning conference. Some 50 participants from developed and developing countries will meet for two days in Washington, DC to discuss the needs and opportunities for technical capacity building in developing countries, and to outline plans for addressing those needs and opportunities.
